School headquarters

The Garden Landscape school is situated in Villa Peyron, a XX century villa near the ancient hilltop city of Fiesole, a few miles north of Florence. The villa and its park are the property of the Fondazione Parchi Monumentali Bardini e Peyron and was planned and built by Paolo Peyron, the scion of a rich family of Piedmontese industrialists.

Besides the building itself, which is large and spacious, the villa also boasts an Italian formal garden and a park, where there are deer, boars, foxes, badgers and horses. the villa has parking space and can be reached from Fiesole by public transport.

Besides the school, the villa also harbours an art gallery and hosts a series of cultural events from April to October. The park is open to the public and may be visited independently from enrolment for our courses.

Some lessons will take place in Villa Bardini, on the hills to the south of Florence, a few yards away from Ponte Vecchio and the Forte di Belvedere, from where splendid views of Florence and of the surrounding countryside may be admired. Besides the school, the villa is also the home to some fine arts collections.

Field lessons will take place in villas and gardens in Tuscany as well as at nurseries chosen by the school.
