Arranging terraces and balconies

Many of us have a terrace or balcony: small spaces that we often overlook, because we believe them to be too small or dark. To tell the truth, there are few places that can never be used.

The programme for the course is:
- Elements of botany
- Principles of composition
- Using small spaces to best effect
- The terrace as a hanging garden
- Flowerpots and containers
- Elements of cultivation
- Shady terraces and balconies
- Sunny terraces and balconies
- Pot plants
- Plants for very small spaces
As part of the course there will be visits to specialised nurseries as well as to terrace gardens in Florence.
