History of photography

This course examines photography though the study of its history and of the analysis of the work of word-famous photographers. Courses are addressed to those who would like to improve their knowledge of photography as well as to those interested in the history of photography.

The course lasts 4 weeks for a total of 18 hours.

This is a theoretical course, with some visits to photographic museums in Florence.

- Napièce and Daguerre: pioneers of photography

- The brothers Alinari in Florence
- Photography during the XX century
- The digital revolution
- Photography now
- Oliviero Toscani's photography
- Photographic exhibitions
  There will be a visit to the “Museo Nazionale Alinari della Fotografia” and to other photographic exhibitions.
